Instructor Recertification

Instructor recertification clinics are now available for 2026.

  1. View the available recertification clinics.

  2. Log into your Instructor account.

  3. Select the clinic that best suits you.

  4. Click on the blue button to register.

  5. Enjoy!

Maintaining Instructor Status

Every 3 years, either:

  • Attend a Recert Clinic;

  • Take an Instructor Course;

  • Run a Recert Clinic or instruct on an Instructor Course.

Lapsed Instructor Status

If either you have not recertified or you are not a current member, your Instructor Status has lapsed; to have your Instructor Status reinstated:

  • Up to 5 years without recertification -- attend a Recert Clinic and renew your membership.

  • Up to 10 years without recertification -- contact the President of ORCKA [president@orcka.ca] and submit a written description of recent paddlesports activity; attend a Recert Clinic and renew your membership.

  • More than 10 years without recertification -- instructors retake an Instructor Course.
