This course is for adults 18+ No experience necessary. Ability to swim is not necessary as you will be wearing a PFD the entire time we are on the water.

Thursday June 12-- Take the 5:30PM Ward’s Island Ferry and meet at 6pm am at the TICC shoreline. The TICC is located just WEST of the ALGONQUIN ISLAND BRIDGE, off Cibola Avenue.

During this evening course we will practice these Skills (on water) (3 hours)
· Launching and Removing a Canoe
· Entering and Exiting a Canoe
· Paddling Positions
· Balancing
· Pivots
· Sideward displacement
· Forward straight line
· Stopping
· Landing
· Lifts and carries
If we have a little time at the end of the course we will go on a short paddle tour of the Toronto Islands Lagoons. What a great way to take the perfect selfie and be a tourist in your own city.
