With this one day tandem skill building certification course, each participant has the opportunity to achieve up to ORCKA level 3. No prior canoe certifications are required although some prior canoeing experience and being physically fit will help you succeed in this course. This course is designed for ages 16 and up and will help prepare you for the ORCKA Level 4 Solo course.
Each participant will learn skills in both the bow and stern positions of a canoe. You will learn basic canoe maneuvers, a variety of paddle strokes, water safety, equipment selection, rescue techniques, portaging and transporting a canoe.
All paddling equipment is provided
