This condensed course combines Basic Canoeing Levels 1-4 and is best for participants 14 years and older. The course takes place over two full days and includes canoe, paddle and course materials. Candidates will learn all of the skills in levels 1-3 in a tandem canoe and then apply these to an introduction to solo paddling. Basic Canoeing (1-4) is a prerequisite for many other ORCKA canoeing courses.
While there is no prerequisite for this course, prior experience and/or strong physical fitness will be an asset. Depending on these factors, it IS possible to achieve all 4 levels in two FULL days. Please bring your own properly fitted PFD (Personal Flotation Device).
