Position: Canoe Trip Leader / Instructor
Type: Seasonal: July through Aug 2017
Location: Algonquin Park, ON
Salary: Up to $200+ / day (includes all equipment, food on trip and round trip transportation from Toronto).

Wilderness Adventures is looking for competent, patient and highly motivated leaders / instructors, who have the skills and experience to lead adults on 3 and 6 day Algonquin interior canoe trips where we will be teaching ORCKA Basic Canoeing Skills Levels 1 & 2 on 3 Day trips and Levels 1 through 4. Lead as many trip dates as you wish.
Please Note: All clients, equipment, and food will be pre-prepared and ready to go. The guide / Instructor simply needs to meet the group at the appropriate date and Algonquin Park location, lead the trip, submit the marking sheets and their invoice and go home and do their laundry.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Meet the adult group either in Algonquin Park the morning of the trip start date or at our Toronto Base and ride up with the group, equipment and food.
  • Lead the group on a 3 or 6 day Algonquin interior trip.
  • Teach the appropriate ORCKA Basic Canoe Skills which would be Level 1 & 2 on 3 day trips or Levels 1 through 4 on 6 day trips.
  • Submit invoice and appropriate ORCKA Skills Marking sheets to Wilderness Adventures.CA

Minimum Qualifications
  • ORCKA Basic Canoe Instructor.
  • ORCKA Canoe Tripping Level 3.
  • Advanced Wilderness First Aid.

Location: Georgian Bay, ON
Salary: Up to $200+ / day (includes all equipment, food on trip and round trip transportation from Toronto).

Lead as many trip dates as you wish.

Position:Head of Canoeing and Kayaking Position
Type: Seasonal: June 23rd through August 20th, 2017
Location:Camp New Moon, Muskoka, ON
Salary: Commensurate with Age and Experience

We are currently seeking an individual to direct our Canoe and Kayak program at our overnight children's summer camp.

Qualifications: Interested candidates should have considerate flat water canoeing skills and experience, with at minimum a familiarity of kayaking. Both solo and tandem canoe skills are taught to small groups of children aged 8-16. Leadership skills are important as the successful applicant would become part of our core Head Staff team, providing camp wide mentoring to campers and younger staff
members working at camp. Candidates should possess a current Bronze Medallion or be prepared to obtain one prior to camp.

Where: Camp New Moon is a children's summer camp located in Muskoka, Ontario that has been in operation since 1960. Children aged 7-16 attend Camp New Moon for durations ranging from 1
to 7 weeks. New Moon is proud to offer a wide range of instructional activities for campers to participate and gain skill in throughout the summer. Our camp season runs from June 23rd to August 20th inclusive. We provide transportation to and from our site, as well as room and board throughout the duration of the contract.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with age and experience.
